Contemporary Chamber Music
With the visual artwork "THE NEXT WORLD", the composer breaks new ground. This is reflected in the unusual instrumentation.
The traditional orchestra instrumentation is expanded to include African Ashiko drums and piano. From our European musical culture, symphonic contemporary music and African rhythm sounds, a bow is thus drawn across cultural borders.
Four central arias focus on the theme of each movement of the orchestral suite.
The musical direction is by conductor Ingo-Ernst Reihl.
